  1. Place a large skillet on medium heat. Fry your sausage until brown.

    Add the flour to sausage and mix together. Once the flour is lightly browned, whisk in the milk. Continue to whisk until you have scraped up all of the flour from the bottom of the pan and your gravy is beginning to thicken.

    Add salt, and pepper and continue whisking until your gravy is at your desired thickness. If it is too thick, add 1/4 cup more of milk. Reduce heat after bringing to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.

    This is excellent served over chicken fried steak, biscuits, or potatoes.
