Spiced Currants

Ingredients
  

  • 3 pounds sugar
  • 1 pint vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons clove
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 pounds currants

Method
 

  1. Add all of the ingredients (except currants) to a large pot and bring to a boil. Stir until thickened.
  2. Stir in the currants, and cook for 30 minutes.
